Winter 2025 Orientation

 

On January 3, all first semester students will be attending the Canadore General Orientation and Academic Orientation sessions. These sessions will provide first year students with essential information about Canadore that will help you during your first week as well as provide you with an opportunity to meet your faculty and other classmates. 

• Location: 100 College Drive – Canadore Gym
• Check-In and Registration begins at 9:00 AM for international students
• Check-In and Registration begins at 11:45 AM for domestic students
  
  
  

Session 1: Canadore Welcome & International Orientation | Time: 9:30 AM

All first semester international students will have a chance to meet and learn about various topics including immigration, health insurance, international student support/resources, safety and security, cultural events and more.

Session 2: Lunch Social and Mini Expo | Time: 12:00 PM

All first-semester students will have a chance to mix and mingle with fellow students, staff and faculty while enjoying some tasty food!

Session 3: Canadore Welcome & Partners in Success | Time: 1:20 PM

All first-semester students will learn about all the supports and services available to Canadore students.

Session 4: Academic Welcome and Program Orientation | Time: 2:00 PM

All first-semester students will have an opportunity to meet their program coordinator and classmates and learn more about their specific program.

Session 5: Tour of Commerce Court (Optional)  | Time: 3:30 PM

If you will be attending Commerce Court campus you have the option to do a tour of the campus after your program orientation has been completed. Transportation will be provided to and from Commerce Court campus. You must sign-up for the tour when you register for Orientation.

Please note: Recreation Therapy or Recreation and Leisure Online Programs - your Orientation will be virtual starting at 1 PM on January 3^rd - the link will be emailed to you.
